Got it as a gift for my nephews (7 & 4 years old). They both love this book! It has a great message and to know that it was based on a true story makes it all the more better! We found ourselves discussing other side stories and making up our own versions of the characters and dogs that were illustrated in the book. The book is quite well thought out and put together in general. A nice read to share with loved ones and animal lovers. especially new young readers!
